From community game nights to artistic workshops, Day Joy Studio is a creative community for everyone
Day Joy Studio was founded in February of 2026 by local Seattle artist and jewelry designer Lee Diamond (they/them). Like many new projects, the concept for this studio had been developing for years in the background. The dream grew from making crafts with the kids they care for, and naturally progressed into hosting classes at locations around Seattle. Lee has spent the last five years creating wearable art using recycled and secondhand materials. They have been working professionally with children for ten years, and their classes have been hosted by the King County Library for all ages. Through their creative practices, relationships with amazing kiddos, and art classes taught independently, Lee dreamed up Day Joy Studio.

Meet Lee
they/them
Lee Diamond is a self-taught, jack-of -all-trades artist, jewelry designer, and events host based in Seattle, WA. They have been working professionally with children ages 1-13 for over 10 years, and they have a passion for creating spaces where kids can explore their creativity through art of all kinds.
Lee has been a presence in the Seattle sustainable arts scene for the last six years, honing their craft primarily with secondhand materials. In this space, they reaffirmed the benefits of art and creativity as processing and reflection tools with a focus on sensory support.
While not designing jewelry or teaching kids Lee enjoys cooking, going on nature walks, and spending time with their sweet cats Charles and Waffle.
